First the good: very well made, should last a long time as long as the glass doesn’t break, and I hope I could replace that. For the not so good: the glass isn’t very flat, so as you move the view waves quite noticeably. The range of the ball joint is limited, so you have to fiddle with the mount angles on the handlebar quite a bit to get the mirror aimed correctly within the ball range. The mount is a full 2 cm wide which was a bit much to cram between my handle grip and the brake lever, so I ground the mounts down to about 1.7 cm wide. At least I learned that this is a nice hard alloy of aluminum (probably 6061).The mirror isn’t very wide, about 2.1 inch, so looking with two eyes, one eye sees half the view and the other sees what’s beside that. They don’t see the same view, that does give the effect of a wider mirror but it may take getting used to. Haven’t taken it for a road trip yet. I don’t suggest turning the mirror horizontal, although the view would be wider, the vertical range would be very small. That would work only if you are riding on very flat land. This would be an awesome mirror if it was round and about 3.5” diameter (9 cm). And made of FLAT glass. They stay in place after adjustment and lots of jiggling. I love these mirrors. Used on my Surrey bike.Easy to install, very sturdy and well made. Would be a little better if the arm was a little longer.I was looking for something I could take on and off easily for transport but still looked great. They look expensive and vintage. Love them!Well made mirrors & work perfectly with my Cruiser Bike. Clear picture without vibration & stays in the set position so you do not to have to constantly adjust it.The Good: quality of these mirrors is excellent for the price. Real glass, not polished plastic mirror, nice chrome and the mounting hardware is good quality. The Bad : If mounted as shown in the product description, on the inside of the handlebar grip, the only view you will get is your arm. No amount of adjusting would provide a view of the road , which is sort of the whole purpose, right? The Solution: I went to Ace Hardware and bought a couple of 2” long bolts and mounted the mirror to the end of the handlebar over the grip. Now I get a clear view behind. I added a small convex spot mirror, but it really isn't necessary. The glass isn’t tight within the mirror so it vibrates as you ride making them worthless and unusable. They are also to short to be effective. You get a great view of your elbow.Mirrors arrived on time. They were a bit smaller than I expected, but were acceptable. Regretfully, they did not fit my husband's mobility scooter. Rather than return them, I will give them to the neighbor's kids for their new Christmas bikes. They will be a great safety feature for the children to watch traffic coming up behind them! Paying it forward!
